PRICE- On August 4, 2013 our mother Clara Minnie Axelsen, 92, of Price, Utah, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family. Heaven gained an angel, she was reunited with her parents, 12 siblings and Dad got his honey back.
Clara was born in Jensen, Utah on August 11, 1920; she is the Daughter of Alma and Ellen Timothy. Clara married Sheldon Chris Axelsen on October 2, 1941; they were later solemnized in the Manti Temple.
Clara loved spending time with her family, fishing and having picnics, going home teaching, playing games with her grandchildren, embroidering and listening to the Grand Ole Opry.
Clara was an inspiration to each of us, as a mother she taught us the value of hard work and dedication to family. As a grandmother, she gave off an overwhelming sense of love and security, not only to her grandchildren but anyone in her life. She had a special way of making you feel like the most important person to her. You didnt have to be perfect for her; she loved each of us just as we are. We will miss her for her true example of acceptance, kindness and love.
She is survived by her 3 sons DeLyle (Sony) Axelsen, Highland, CA, Pat (Trudy) Axelsen, Price, Gary (Patty) Axelsen, Price and Moms special girl Gustina Muncy, Helper; 11 Grandchildren Debbie(Brian) Alagao, Joe(Jeana)Drozdik, Tina(Jim) Hansen, Charlie(Cody) Redmond, Bill Axelsen, John Axelsen, Paula(Chet) Ingram, Tammie(Matt)Pantelakis, Darren Axelsen, Sheila Axelsen, Lana Axelsen; sister in law Lois Abrams, and many nieces, nephews, great & great great grandchildren.
